Early identification and support are essential to improving outcomes for children with SEND and their families. LIIA’s Early Years and Early Support programme focuses on strengthening pathways for children aged 0–5 so that needs are recognised early and families receive timely, coordinated help.
This includes work on emerging needs pathways, review of local offers and digital provision, pan-London Early Years SEND workshops, and sharing practice across health, education and care partners.
Project Goals
This project aims to strengthen early identification and emerging needs pathways so children and families receive support at the earliest opportunity. It focuses on improving consistency of practice, access to information and early intervention across London, and embedding prevention within the wider SEND system and reform agenda.
Governance
This programme reports into the ALDCS SEND Steering Group and links to Early Years and SEND networks.
