LIIA’s Inclusion and Learning work supports London to strengthen inclusive practice across early years, schools and post-16 settings. The programme focuses on improving universal provision so that more children and young people with SEND can thrive in local, mainstream environments and access the right support at the right time.
This includes the Investing in Inclusion programme, development of ‘what works’ models for schools and settings, and pan-London learning through SEND conferences, digital resources and peer networks.
Project Goals
This project aims to improve the quality and consistency of inclusive practice across London’s education system. It supports schools and settings to identify and embed what works well for children and young people with SEND, reduce unnecessary escalation into specialist provision and strengthen system leadership for inclusion. The programme aligns inclusion activity with SEND diagnostics and reform priorities to support sustainable improvement.
Governance
This programme reports into the ALDCS SEND Steering Group and works closely with education and inclusion networks across London.
