The ALDCS SEND Programme is entering its fourth year of operation and an exciting new phase of development, to drive forward an ambitious programme of pan-London work. We’re recruiting three new SEND Programme Leads to help shape and deliver key priorities across London’s SEND system. Each role will lead a major strand of the ALDCS SEND Programme. These strategic, cross-borough roles will support collaboration, innovation, and shared learning across local authorities and partners.
This post will lead the Inclusion and Universal Support workstream, coordinating pan-London SEND Universal Support, driving inclusive practice, and acting as the main contact for North London boroughs.
Programme Lead – SEND Resources and Commissioning

These strategic, cross-borough roles will support collaboration, innovation, and shared learning across local authorities and partners.
This post will lead the Innovation & Targeted Support workstream, developing and delivering bespoke support packages for local authorities, driving improvement in priority areas, and leading the creation of a regional diagnostic tool to identify need. The role will also act as the lead contact for South London boroughs.
Intelligence Analyst – SEND

We’re recruiting a SEND Intelligence Analyst to support the ALDCS SEND Programme through data analysis and insight.
This role will lead on the development of diagnostic tools and intelligence products, supporting local authorities and regional partners to improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND. You’ll work closely with boroughs and the wider LIIA programme to deliver dashboards, analytical tools, and data-driven insights that inform strategy, planning, and innovation across London.

Project Support Officer – Care to Career

The role will support LIIA’s ‘care leaving’ workstream, and a Randomised Control Trial (RCT) being run by Youth Futures Foundation to establish ‘what works’ in terms of supporting young people leaving local authority care into education, training and employment; by contributing to research and data analysis; coordinating meetings, workshops, and governance boards; ensuring effective planning, reporting, and follow-up; providing administration, event planning, communications (including developing content for briefings, newsletters, social media, and website updates), and stakeholder engagement.
Children’s Social Care Practice Leaders Group Facilitator

The facilitator should have significant practice experience at a senior level in children’s social care; this is likely to be at least at the level of assistant director / practice leader.

The Programme Administrator position is an important member of our team and will support our work and build professional expertise in public policy and children’s services. This role will sit central to supporting the achievement of the LIIA vision, priorities and targets through high quality coordination and administration of meetings and resources. This will be in relation to supporting the development of a wide range of projects and programmes across the Adolescent Safeguarding priority as well as general support across the LIIA portfolio delivering ALDCS priorities.

London Innovation and Improvement Alliance (LIIA) wishes to support Directors of Children’s Services and Lead Members for Children’s Services to engage with new organisations and partnerships in the most effective way. Effective partnerships between Local Authority Children’s Services and the National Health Service are vital in supporting improved outcomes for children and young people. An initial scoping exercise of work was undertaken in 2022-23. LIIA wishes to recruit a consultant to work on a regional basis to build upon this initial scoping work
