We train together launches across London

This week saw the launch of We Train Together, a learning offer co-produced and delivered by the London Principal Social Worker Network and coordinated by LIIA.

The first module, led by colleagues from Lewisham, brought together 50 train-the-trainer practitioners from across 19 local authorities in London to share learning and experiences of implementing Families First.

The first module’s trainer told us that:

“It was encouraging to see a core group of participants actively engaging in the discussion. Their contributions appeared to give others the confidence to share their concerns and experiences, helping them recognise that many of the challenges they are facing are shared by colleagues elsewhere.”

Participant also shared positive feedback:

“Thank you so much for sharing your experience, your materials, all your hard work! Well done you did it!”

“Lots of valuable insight and food for thought for us. You certainly provided further clarity – thank you!”

Alongside coordinating the programme, LIIA will support short and medium-term evaluation to understand how the learning is applied locally.
