LIIA was delighted to be invited to the Labour Party's Youth Sector Reception this week. It was great to spend time with Yvette Cooper (Shadow Home Secretary) and Feryal Clark (Shadow Minister for Crime Reduction) highlighting the positive impact for London’s children of working collaboratively, innovatively and impactfully across Children’s Services and with partner organisations.

The innovative youth violence reduction programme Your Choice, funded by the Youth Endowment Fund, is a great example of how strategic working by partners and LAs across London can lead to real change in the lives of young people. The programme provides specialist training and supervision for youth practitioners so they can introduce CBT tools and techniques to young people where they feel most comfortable, for example, a youth centre, gym or music studio.

Our thanks to London’s Violence Reduction Unit for their ongoing support.
